Rwanda expected support from the international community in tracing the genocidaires who fled the country so that justice would be served. Genocide and crimes against humanity deserve to be punished.

By extraditing criminals of all sorts, Rwanda is setting an example that it is not too late for other countries to act on the hundreds of indictments that are gathering dust in offices of their judicial organs.

Rwanda’s commitment to justice should be matched and reciprocated by the international community.
